What to Pack for Evolve Skate and Scooter Camps: Your Ultimate Checklist

Getting ready for Evolve Skate and Scooter Camps? Whether it’s your camper’s first time or they’re a returning rider, making sure they’re packed and prepared can make all the difference for a fun and successful week.

To help you out, we’ve created the ultimate packing list for our skateboard and scooter summer camps. Here’s everything your child will need to stay safe, comfortable, and energized each day.

Essential Items for Camp

1. Skateboard or Scooter + Helmet and Pads
Every camper must bring their own equipment, including a freestyle scooter or skateboard, along with a properly fitted helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. These are essential for both safety and skill development.
Not sure what kind of gear your child needs? Check out our Equipment Guide for full details and recommendations.

2. Comfortable Skate Shoes
Supportive, closed-toe shoes with good grip are a must. Avoid sandals or slip-ons—choose proper skate-ready footwear for all-day comfort and performance.

3. A Hat for Sun Protection
Campers are outside most of the day. A lightweight, breathable hat helps protect from sun exposure and keeps them cool.

4. A Change of Clothes
From unexpected spills to summer sweat, having a fresh change of clothes keeps your child feeling comfortable throughout the day.

5. Bathing Suit & Towel
Some locations feature water play, splash pads, or swimming activities, so always pack a bathing suit and towel—even if it’s not guaranteed every day.

6. Refillable Water Bottle
Hydration is key, especially in the heat. Send a refillable, leak-proof water bottle to keep your camper energized and safe.

What to Pack for Lunch

7. Peanut-Free Lunch
Evolve Camps are strictly nut-free. Pack a balanced, non-perishable lunch that doesn’t require a microwave—think sandwiches, wraps, pasta salads, or bento boxes.

8. At Least Two Snacks
With all the skating, scootering, and activities, your camper will need plenty of fuel. Include two healthy snacks like fruit, granola bars, or crackers.
