Location
Lonsdale Centennial Skatepark is located at the south-east corner of the Lonsdale Ave. and Hwy 1, south of the Upper Levels Hwy.
Level of Difficulty
This skatepark is great for all levels of skateboard and scooter riders. The Lonsdale Centennial Skatepark is considered a “pure street park”.
Key Facility Features
This 16,000 square foot Skate Park opened in May 2004 and is unlike conventional skate parks.
The park, which resembles an urban plaza complete with curbs, walls and ramps, was designed with input gathered during several youth focus sessions. It includes a skateable public art piece called The Wave and an environmental bio-swale to slow down and filter run-off into Wagg Creek, a nearby fish-bearing stream.
The Evolve Connection
The Lonsdale Centennial Skatepark is one of the stops on our Vancouver Bus Camp. Campers can bring their skateboards, scooters, helmets and padding. During our Skateboard and Scooter summer camps, campers can learn from some of Canada’s best skateboard instructors or scooter coaches.
