Costa Rica Surf Conditions in July
There’s no better way to spend part of your summer than surfing in tropical Costa Rica. Something to think about when booking a surf trip is to make sure the conditions are good. Evolve Surf Camp is located in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, one of the top surf beaches in the world.
From May-November it’s considered “winter”, but it’ll still feel like summer. July is becoming widely considered as high season due to the good weather. Day time temperature usually reach the low 90s. It’s cooler than in the “summer” (Dec-Apr) which makes it less humid and more bearable. For the majority of your days, you’ll be waking up to bright sunny mornings.
It is the most consistent time of year for swells. May through September are the best months for wave size. The surf averages head high 80-90% of the time!
