Park City in Utah, USA is already renowned for being one of the top ski and snowboard destinations of the world.
Soon this distinguished ski resort will gain a new title: The Largest Ski Resort in the USA.
In the 2015-2016 Winter Season, a new high-speed eight person gondola will be open to the public, combining Park City with the Canyons.
Two resorts are becoming one.
This new gondola, called the Quicksilver, will connect the new Park City grounds to the old Canyon terrain. The gondola will allow skiers and snowboarders to travel from the Silverlode Lift in Park City over to the Flatiron Lift on the former grounds on the White Pine Canyon.
The gondola will have an optional unloading stop halfway between the two resorts, at the Pine Cone Ridge.
This project is part of a 50$ million dollar capital improvement project. This project aims to bring the two resorts into one mega resort, while also implementing major infrastructure improvements to the existing Park City.
