Georgian Peaks

Website: http://www.georgianpeaks.com

Location: P.O. Box 400 Thornbury, ON N0H 2P0

How to get there:

Keep driving down Hwy 26 through Collingwood and past the town until you see the signs for Georgian Peaks.

The Park: What to Expect

Georgian is a private ski hill. The Chimo Terrain Park includes small to x-large features for all abilities. This means that if you make the trek up to Georgian peaks you won’t be disappointed. There are jumps ranging from 10 to 45 feet and jib features of all heights, shapes and sizes.

Freeloader is the next Park which is located half-way down the Champlain run. Freeloader is a progression Park which means it is home to small features only. Jib features are close to the ground which are perfect for beginner freestylers and younger kids alike.

Other Terrain:

Georgian Peaks 820 vertical feet is the highest, longest and most challenging terrain in all of Ontario.  The Georgian Peaks Club is the only ski area in Ontario with enough vertical to hold a F.I.S. sanctioned Giant Slalom race.

Lifts:

24 trails, each with its own feel

The Best Part:

It might be a private club but they offer school groups and weekday groups the chance to come ride at the resort. Their park is pretty damn good too.
